Dark Side of the Mandelbox – (Eyes Dubstep)

Trip through a transforming Mandelbox. The audio was produced by the very talented “Eyes” It is an obscenely dirty piece of dubstep. :) Ellie Goulding – Lights (Eyes Remix) I LOVE IT :) This is my first upload that utilises “depth of field” the depth of field (DOF) is the portion of fractal that appears sharp in the image. Wth depth of field you can make the fractal appear very large or very small – bags of fun!! :) rendered by teamfresh

Mandelbox “Alien Hive”

A flight through a scale 2 mandelbox. Has the qualities of some alien city or futurescape. Info: 2500 frames, 640×480, 23.976fps playback, 52 hours of render time (given the specific render settings: res=2, DE step factor=0.7, max iter=250). Actual render time in real life was about half that since it was split across two machines: a linux box running Ubuntu and an OS X box running Windows XP in a VirtualBox.
